Jesus in the synagogue, Sabbath day, and unclean spirits – TorahAdam TavOmega infinityquill.com
Mark 2:27–3:11 (RVR60)
2:27 And He said to them, ‘The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 Therefore the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.’
3:1 Again He entered the synagogue; and a man was there who had a withered hand.
2 And they watched Him closely, to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him.
3 Then He said to the man with the withered hand, ‘Stand up in front of everyone.’
4 And He said to them, ‘Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?’ But they remained silent.
5 Looking around at them with anger, grieved at the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand.’ And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.
6 Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how to destroy Him.
7 But Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him. And from Judea, 8 from Jerusalem, from Idumea, from across the Jordan, and from the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon, hearing how great things he was doing, great multitudes came to him. 9 And he said to his disciples to always have the boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t crush him. 10 For he had healed many; so that all who had diseases pressed upon him to touch him. 11 And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him
